Tutoring

StartUp StorySlam offers private tutoring on storytelling. Maybe you want to weave a story into your business presentation or would like guidance in preparing a story for a Story Slam or a Wedding Toast or another big event. Course Instructors

jimbreslinphotoJim Breslin is the founder of the West Chester Story Slam, a monthly storytelling event in its 6th year. Over 550 stories have been told in front of thousands of audience members. He is also the founder of the Delco Story Slam and the co-founder of the Lancaster Story Slam and the Lehigh Valley Story Slam. Jim has been a featured storyteller at Tell Me A Story, Scranton Story Slam and Liberation. He is the author of the novel SHOPLANDIA, which was inspired by his seventeen years as a television producer at QVC, the world’s largest home shopping network. He has also written the short story collection Elephant: Short Stories and Flash Fiction, and runs the micro-publishing project Oermead Press.

He lives in West Chester, PA.

terryheymanTerry Heyman is a wife, mother, former lawyer, former entrepreneur and former university instructor. Currently writer, frequent story slammer, occasional comedienne, and a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. And she’s phenomenal at making a mountain out of a molehill. She was featured in the 2013 Wilmington production “Listen To Your Mother” and recently performed at the 2014 Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. You can follow her blog at Greetings from Insanity.
